to past

    Two Comanche trails followed draws that cross the Llano Estacado close to two present-day cities:  Abernathy and Plainview. Blackwater Draw is to the south and west of Abernathy; Running Water Draw cuts across the country south of Plainview.

    In Plainview, the Quanah Parker Trail Arrow marks a prehistoric bison kill site where a Plainview Point spearhead was discovered in the 1940s.
