PINPOINTING HISTORIC TRAILS
THROUGH KNOX COUNTY
REPLICA OF HISTORIC MAP SHOWS OLD TRAILS ACROSS THE REGION

Benjamin lies between the South Wichita River and the Brazos River. In 1854, Capt. Randolph B. Marcy traveled through the region, surveying both river valleys. He deemed the entire region unfit for settlement. State photographer Wyman Meinzer would disagree.

Wichita Brazos Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Phone (940) 459-2229.
